In the village of San Martín, members of the Sijín Police, in coordination with the Prosecutor’s Office, carried out an operation, managing to seize the hallucinogen that was being prepared for distribution.
In the search of the house, two people were found, who had in their possession 208 kilos of coca base, 1 gramera, 1 cell phone, 2 firearms with ammunition for it and 20 million pesos in cash.
Colonel Julio Hernando Guerrero Rojas, of the Police in Caquetá, stated that according to investigations, the house was used for the storage and distribution of narcotics. “These people managed to obtain monthly income for a value of one billion pesos from the commercialization of the alkaloid.”
He added that with this seizure it is possible to affect the finances of the Central General Staff of the Farc “that affect the purchase and sale of coca paste in this region of the country.”
The two people captured were prosecuted and left at the disposal of the Prosecutor’s Office, to answer for the crime of manufacturing, trafficking or carrying narcotics.
