‘Jalón’ of ears to Serna • The Nation

The Liberal party, of which councilman Alejandro Serna is a member, issued a statement in which he disagreed with the positive presentation presented by the lobbyist regarding the 25,000 million-peso debt project.

Several times the Neiva mayor, Gorky Muñoz Calderón, has presented the loan to the Neiva Council, and it has not been approved in the first instance. Next Thursday, February 9, will be the first debate in the Second Budget Committee, and if approved, it will go to plenary.

The Neiva councilor, Alejandro Serna, announced the positive presentation of this agreement; however, he did not go down well with the liberal bench, which issued a statement disapproving of the lobbyist’s position.

The Party considered the approval of Municipal Agreement Project 002 of 2023 inconvenient because it has been presented, debated and denied several times in the Municipal Council, and that this initiative is highly sensitive to local public opinion.

“For these reasons we do not agree with the positive presentation presented to the Neiva Council Corporation by councilor Alejandro Serna Serna regarding the aforementioned draft agreement and we invite him to an open dialogue and in the face of the liberal bases and the opinion of our city so that the best decisions can be taken in a concerted manner”, quotes the document signed by the president of the community Juan Carlos Ramón Rueda.

For its part, the corporation announced a press conference that will take place today at the facilities of the Neiva Council at 10 in the morning, “to respond to the statement issued by some members of the Municipal Liberal Directorate”, asserted councilor Serna Serna.
