The Metropolitan Police of Barranquilla and the District Mayor’s Office announced a reward of up to 80 million pesos to anyone who provides information for the events that occurred on Sunday night in the The Sanctuary neighborhood.

According to preliminary versions, subjects on a motorcycle shot at a group of people who were watching Junior’s game against Medellín in a commercial establishment in the sector known as El Jinete, in the Metropolitan area.
The attack left four people dead and six more wounded, who were transferred to nearby care centers.
Therefore, after attending to the case, the Police reported that an interdisciplinary team was available to carry out the pertinent investigations together with the Prosecutor’s Office.
“At this moment we are working on the collection and analysis of videos from security cameras in the sector to identify vehicles linked to this criminal act,” the authorities reported.

They also added that they carry out verifications to analyze possible motivesbased on investigative lines arising from antecedents and information from human sources.
Faced with these violent events, Mayor Jaime Pumarejo leads a security council since 7 in the morning this Monday in the central building of the Barranquilla Mayor’s Office.
